"You can't undermine your feelings because you want to protect yourself from pain. Trust in your feelings injects value to them, which gives me the courage to speak my mind, the serenity to stay still amidst chaos, and the peace of mind to love myself. My stories are just an extension of the enthusiasm I have for my courage, serenity, and peace."
Brittany Cole, also known as B.C. Spines, lives in Northeast Ohio, where she runs her literary and arts blog, Slanted Spines, and edits for Camel Coat Press. In 2017, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University Honors College with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Writing. Although life is complicated and uncertain, Brittany is certain that writing is her calling. Her other hobbies include reading, drawing, practicing yoga, photography, riding her bike, and tending to her cats and plants. Her lifestyle is highly influenced by Buddhist teachings.
"As writers, we live a thousand lives
through the characters we conceive, the journeys we create, and the stories we craft. We understand the significance of a passing feeling, the implications of a subtle sensation, the repercussions of a single action, artfully unfolding through tale into a grand voyage of perspective. And your great luxury, as the reader, is that you get to experience all that with us. A luxury for all; the luxury of fiction."
